- Walk, horse and bike riding on the « Loire à vélo » route or on one of the many marked out path
- Flight in hot-air balloon
- Water activities on the Loire river : canoe, kayak, paddle, yole, boat cruises
- Visits of Ancenis castle, Oudon tower, Vair castle and La Garenne mill
- Joachim du Bellay musuem, a famous french poet that was born in Liré where is located his museum
- Swimming in Vioreau lake, Oudon artificial lake or on the Loire beach in Ingrandes sur Loire
- Locals markets every day
- Discovery and tasting of the wines (Muscadet, malvoisie…)
If you have more time to spend here, the area around Ancenis reserves a lot of nice places :
- Wander in the streets and parks of Nantes (30min drive) and Angers (45min drive) also accessible by train from Ancenis
- Meet the animals in one of the animals parks: theBoissière du Doré zoo (15min), Natural’ parc (20min), Planètesauvage (45min)
- Take a walk in the vineyard of Nantes and discover its architectural, gastronomic and natural heritage
- Head out to conquer the Puy du Fou, electedbest attraction park in the world (1h drive)
- Relax on the beaches of the Atlantic coast: La baule, Guérande, Pornic, Saint Nazaire…
If you need to keep your children busy, here are some suggestions :
- Hire bikes at the campsite and share a picnic by theabbatial of St Florent-le-Viel
- Become an explorer in Oudon or Vaircastle
- Discover the Hâvre valley in a small boat
- Make flour in the mill of la Garenne in Pannecé
- Swim in Oudon or Vioreau lake
- Visit the pedagogic farm of the Galli in Freigné
